We had a wonderful 2 night stay in this luxurious architecturally designed rural getaway. Outside the serenity and ambiance of nature was delightful. Inside the cottages the bedrooms and bathrooms (with luxe linens) and living room were all beautifully appointed and the fully furnished kitchen was a wonderful surprise. The attention to detail in this property is outstanding and Sophie was a pleasure to deal with. We can't wait to return in Winter!
Merilli1885 is really really lovely. We spent two nights there but it wasn't enough. Beautiful serene location in Currency Creek. The fit out is brilliant, absolutely everything thought of. All is fabulously styled, Sophie's attention to detail and care is evident. We loved the fact that the fire had been maintained after guests that left the morning we arrived, so welcoming. At a time we needed an escape and unwind… we visited Merilli 1885. What a beautiful place to spend a weekend on The Fleurieu! What a magnificent girl friend getaway! The cottage was high-level luxury, with all the creature comforts of home. Spending quality time with friends, dressed in robes, drinking wine, eating antipasto platters in front of a roaring fireplace, with the wild weather all around us…. Heaven! They have literally thought of everything including South Australian goodies in the fridge and pantry. We felt so nurtured and spoiled staying in this home away from home. We stayed at the beautiful Merilli 1885 for 2 night’s. The cottage is stunning inside and out. Perfect place to get away to if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the peacefulness the countryside has to offer.
I stayed here for a girls weekend away and WOW…it did not disappoint. The cottage has a perfect mix of old charm with new luxury and you really feel like you’re away from the hustle and bustle with the views from every window. Nothing has been spared here, from the gorgeous kitchen and appliances, the cosy lounge and fireplace to the massive beds and comfy linen. The products provided for baths and showers made us smell and feel like we’d been to a day spa. We then literally spent all our time in the bath robes by the fireplace drinking wine, watching the rain fall over the hills and eating cheese. For a Mum of 3, this was exactly the getaway I needed. The Heritage Suite is extremely spacious featuring a cloud-like king size bed with premium A H Beard Mattress dressed with beautiful Egyptian Cotton and 100% French Flax Linen bedding. There are generous twin wardrobes with white fluffy Egyptian Cotton robes. The suite has a large private lounge area with leather Chesterfield and wing back chair. An ensuite completes the suite with a large rain head and hand held shower, plush Sheridan bath sheets, hairdryer and guest amenities including a vanity kit and shower cap.
